Technopuce integrates its Acti-Tag™ technology into an active smart card equipped with remote control capabilities for remote keyless entry, door locking and opening, remote activation/de-activation of electronic devices, and controlled access and security management.
These active intelligent microprocessor-based remote keyless entry access and control systems have been designed with the end-user in mind.
 
Technopuce's remote control smart card offers many advantages compared to other remote control devices. While standard remote control devices are traditionally bulky, heavy, and easily lost, the remote control smart card is no larger than a simple credit card, and so allows users to store the card discretely in their wallets, cardholders, or simply in their pockets.

These cards are also more economical than other traditional remote control devices, and their plastic casing is printable on both sides.

The remote control smart cards may also be fitted with multiple buttons, providing users with multi-purpose remote control devices for applications in areas such as the following:

- Alarm activation/de-activation
- Electronic door locks for cars, homes, and offices

- Garage door openers
- Parking area barriers

Each active smart card operates on both transponder technology for short read ranges (up to 1 meter, or 3 feet), and RF technology for longer read ranges of up to 150 meters, or 450 feet.
